  22. It sounds like you are connecting at different speeds.  Pick one of
  23. Intel modems.  Check out the modem.cfg file in the doom subdirectory
  24. and make sure that both of you have the same speed selected (9600,
  25. 14400, etc...).  That should take care of it.
